Thee & Thou Cottage, defined as a tourist reception structure,
in terms of type – namely ROOMS in the 1 star category
& in terms of space that can be used by tourists – essentially one and the same with entire villa,
is a traditional Romanian house built at the end of the 19th century & completely renovated for an authentic experience, which offers a minimum stay of two nights (by default minimum 24 hours) and a maximum of 30 days.
Our house is a sweet cozy vacation home meant to be, built-up in structure in old basic Romanian style & refurbished with natural wood on the inside. Far away from embracing a garish look or appeal to a tacky fancying, the place suits best for family travellers that are looking for an authentic and basic experience sculptured on the local tradition. Focusing on a custom-built tourism, our vacation home will assure all the privacy and all the amenities needed.
The house is showing the intermediary characteristics of the local traditional mountain houses with two rooms in mirror aspect (two bedrooms, each with a low double Japanese bed) and a separatory one in-between (the living room). The room walls (made out of framework with wattle & daub) are painted with healthy whitewash (from chalkstone), a clinch friendly environment as our grandparents used to live in. A thin layer of white washable paint has been added latter.
On the semi-ground floor, the space opens up for another bedroom (with one double bed) next to the bathroom. With the back entry to the house is the modern terrasse, great place to have breakfast or dine while enjoying the pleasant view over the garden (& belle view towards Gurga Hill, the highest peak in town). Linked to it, the properly equipped kitchen awaits your chefs experience.
In addition to this description, there are also an attic (with access by stairs from the living room) & a cellar (with acces from the garden), common places that have private storage purposes, both not to be used by tourists. Apart from this, our guests can use the entire available place as well as the entire garden which will guarantee total recreation and assure the best of their leisure.
